CFP^® professionals interested in transferring to other locations can apply for an education exemption for CFP certification. 

Transferring to Canada

If you’re seeking to transfer to Canada, you may pursue the Foreign CFP Professional Path to CFP Certification through FP Canada. The program is designed to recognize your prior accomplishments and existing certification.

Transferring to US

If you’re a current CFP professional in India and you’re seeking to transfer your CFP certification to the U.S., you qualify for the Accelerated Path through CFP Board (US).  Simply provide proof of your current CFP certification from the FPSB in India and proof of completion of the required capstone course through a CFP Board Registered Program. Qualifying documentation should be sent to [email protected].

International CFP professionals must meet all CFP Board requirements for CFP certification, including passing the CFP certification exam.
