Key Competencies: An Investment Counsellor combines strong financial acumen with client-focused advisory skills to deliver tailored investment strategies. Key competencies include deep knowledge of markets and financial products, effective communication, ethical integrity, and strong analytical thinking. The role demands the ability to manage client relationships, assess risk, solve problems efficiently, and stay current with industry trends—all while maintaining high standards of professionalism and time management.
Key Performance Indicators
- Provide Investment Advice – Offer tailored investment strategies based on clients' financial goals, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
- Manage Client Portfolios – Monitor, review, and adjust investment portfolios to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct Financial Assessments – Analyze clients’ financial positions to recommend suitable investment opportunities.
- Build and Maintain Client Relationships – Develop long-term trust with clients through consistent communication and service.
- Stay Informed on Market Trends – Monitor financial markets, economic indicators, and industry news to guide investment decisions.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Adhere to financial regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies.
- Prepare Reports and Documentation – Generate performance reports, investment summaries, and regulatory documents.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams – Work with analysts, product specialists, and relationship managers to deliver holistic solutions.
- Educate Clients – Help clients understand their investments, risks, and market developments.
- Support Business Development – Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and attract new clients.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree/Post Graduation in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Certifications
Relevant Certification/Qulaification in the field of Advisory/Wealth Management.
Following Qualification will be Preferred.
- Certified Financial Planner®
Experience
- Previous experience in investment advisory, portfolio management, or financial services is highly preferred (typically 2-5 years)
- Proven track record of managing client portfolios and achieving financial goals.
